11. Ostseeparlamentarierkonferenz vom 29. 9. bis 1. 10. 2002 in Sankt Petersburg


Kiel (SHL) –Am Abend des 29. September 2002 treffen sich annähernd 140 Abgeordnete der Parlamente rund um die Ostsee zur 11. Ostseeparlamenta- rierkonferenz. Am Morgen des 30. September 2002 beginnt dann die eigentli- che Arbeit der Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference – BSPC.
Tagungsort ist diesmal Sankt Petersburg.
Themenbereiche sind Fragen der grenzüberschreitenden Zusammenarbeit, maritime Sicherheit, Umweltschutz und Meeresverschmutzung und die be- sondere Situation im Kaliningrader Gebiet im Kontext der EU-Erweiterung.
Zum Thema „Maritime Sicherheit“ war auf der 10. Ostseeparlamentarierkonfe- renz in Greifswald im September 2001 beschlossen worden, eine internationa- le Arbeitsgruppe einzurichten. Diese Arbeitsgruppe hat einen ausführlichen Bericht vorgelegt.
Die Delegation des Schleswig-Holsteinischen Landtages wird geleitet von Landtagspräsident Heinz-Werner Arens. Ihr gehören außerdem die Abgeord- neten Joachim Behm (FDP), Rolf Fischer (SPD) und Anke Spoorendonk (SSW) an.
